A San Pablo high speed vehicle chase led to a fatal single vehicle crash recently.
Authorities confirmed that after an early morning pursuit that exceeded 100 miles per hour as the authorities attempted to close in on the vehicle in question, a deadly roll over concluded the chase. The driver who was operating a Gold Lexus at the time ran through a red light near San Pablo Dam Road and Mifflin Avenue, according to the local Sherriff’s office.
The authorities noted this behavior and a pursuit ensued after the driver refused to pull over. The man drove 50 miles an hour or more through an intersection but then accelerated to more than 100 miles per hour as authorities last state of the Lexus. The authorities later identified the vehicle crashed on the side of the road when it became clear that the vehicle had rolled over numerous times.
The driver of that car was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. A high-speed chase might be rare, but it can lead to catastrophic and serious injuries if you are a pedestrian, bicyclist or other car on the road at the time of an accident.
Make sure that you report your concerns to an experienced personal injury lawyer in the San Francisco area after you have been hurt as this might be your only opportunity to recover compensation for the injuries you have sustained. No one expects themselves to be involved in a high-speed crash or a high-speed pursuit but you can all too easily become a bystander in these devastating and dangerous situations.
